My name is John Elmer Herron/Crowder. My father is Johnny Herron, son of Clarence G. and Mamie Trout Herron,of Dorena, Mo. Clarence was the son of John M. and Missouri Hampton Herron of Wycliffe, Ky. My Grandfather died in Caruthersville, Missouri and was buried in Charleston, Mississippi County, Missouri. Clarence was the brother of Walter, Oscar, Fred and Willie (Wid) Herron. John M. was the son of James C. and Sarah "Sallie" Jane Knight from Livingston, Smithland, Ky and Fulton, Missouri.
I was adopted as a baby, by the Crowders in Springhill, Louisiana, and have spent the last 5 years looking for my Father and his relatives. My adopted parents are deceased now, but always wanted me to find my father. I have found some very nice family members so far, but I still have a long way to go.
I am researching the names of Herron,Herren,Herrin, Herring, Hampton, Knight, and Trout. Locations of: Smithland, Paducah, Oscar, Wycliffe, Ky and Dorena, East Prairie, Caruthersville,Fulton, St. Louis, Missouri and Memphis, Tn and Clarendon, Point Cedar, Little Rock, and West Memphis, Arkansas.
