My parents, Sandra and Linwood Tyndall, divorced when I was quite young, and my mother, sister (Tami) and I relocated to Washington state. My father and his extended family were from Kinston, N.C. During the first few years, following the divorce, my sister and I did not have any contact with our father, and, in 1975, at the young age of 35, he unexpectedly passed away. I was just eleven years old at the time. Because of his death, I am obviously unable to talk to him to obtain any information regarding his (MY) family. I am in the process of putting together a Memory Book of my life and family history and would VERY much like additional information on my father's life and family. I have very limited contact with my paternal grandmother, aunts and uncle, and many, many unanswered questions. It is my intent to learn more about my father and his family, to honor his memory, and to compile as comprehensive a family history as possible so that I can leave a legacy for my children, nieces, nephews, and, someday, my grandchildren.
