The Perry Bledsoe Connection

Updated April 7, 2001

About Our Family Research

It all starts with the missing link, Robert Alex Perry. Robert was born April 11, 1940 in Cooks County, IL. He was kidnapped by his father Andrew Perry (A Rail Road Worker). Andrew then fled to Toledo OH and married a woman who had two sons from a previous relationship. When Robert turned 16 he found out the woman was not his mother. He joined the Army and changed his last name to Bledsoe, the maiden name of his biological mother (Martha Bledsoe). I've been told that Martha was a teen mother at the time (1940), and that she may still be alive. That's where I come in. I am Robert's daughter, and ever since he died (Aug 1984) I've been looking for Martha. To this day she has never seen him, and if I don't find her.......she never will.
