Researching the ancestors and decendents of Green W. Herron b. Jan 11, 1842, d. May 31, 1892. His father was John Herron. Green served in Co H, 35 NC INF with his brothers Calvin and John (Mecklenburg County) Have identified 4 wives: 1. Elizabeth Stuart(my ggrandmother) 2. Elizabeth Morrow 3. Susan E. (last name unk) 4. Margaret Penix
Green lived in Mecklenburg and Iredell Counties until after 1880 when he moved to Buncombe County, NC.
Green had children with Elizabeth Stuart (Patrick Jefferson and James K. ) and with Margaret Penix (maybe as many as 9)Names known: Thomas C., John W., Elizabeth, Henry Harrison. Other possible names: Florence, Leonia, Lottie, Stella and Virial.
Patrick Jefferson was my grandfather, James K. was never married and had no children. Need information about Green's family with Margaret Penix, Any information about all of the 4 wives, his ancestors and his siblings.
