The information here is uploaded as a GEDCOM-file from what is already in the page www.herrstrom.com. The research is the result of the work of Yngve Herrström (born 1922) and his brother Stig (b. 1926). It contains the decendants of Anders Larsson Modig (where Modig was his soldier name). Most of his gransons took the name Herrström, which also was a soldiers name. The peculiar thing is that Anders Larsson Modig was number 36 and his collegue, Mathias Herrström was no 37.

We do not know why the grandsons took the name Herrstrom ionstead of Modig. Maybe it was because the name Modig was already used by some other families.
