I am especially interested in the Bunton/Buntin/Bunten/Bunting family, as well as the Foust/Faust, Kivett, Krimminger, Overman, Overcash/Oberkirsh, Haithcock, Bowlin/Bolin/Bowling, Sheets, Perry, Lyles, Woodie/Woody/Woodde, and Campbell families.

North Carolina counties of primary focus include Alexander, Ashe, Cabarrus, Chatham, Iredell, New Hanover, Randolph, Rowan, and Wilkes.

I have found it very interesting to see how all these families are intermigled through the years since arriving in America.

    This is the Sheets Cabin located on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Laurel Springs, Ashe Co., NC. The cabin was built c. 1818. (According to the Park Service, the cabin was built by Jesse Sheets in 1818, but Jesse was not born until 1818, so the cabin was likely built by his father, Andrew.)
