The following information was taken from the records of the Coldwater Reform Church, Cabarrus Co., NC, written in German by Rev. A. N. Marcard: Buried at Coldwater Church August 26, 1798, Mary Elizabeth, born August 26, 1724 at Schweigern in Wurtemburg. Her father was Matthais Berringer. She was married in 1750 to Christian Bernhart bore ten children of whom five are still living. She saw 26 grandchildren, of whom 5 are now dead. She died August 24, 1798 of hectic fever and attained an age of 74 years, less two days.
