Nearly 8o ago a ship ported into Ellis Island. Among the passengers of this ship was Julianna and Anton Szalma and their 5 children, David, Louie, helen, Arpod and Yolan. Yolan was born while aboard this ship for America in International Waters. This quest for information is to peice together the untold story of the life Julianna and Anton left behind. They left behind everything they knew and set to find a new life. This voyage was more than just courage and determintation, it was a compelling desire to leave the old hard Eurpoean way of life and reach for greater economic possibilites for their children.
