Almost all of the family research was conducted using the internet, specifically provincial GenWeb projects and lookup volunteers. I owe a great deal to these volunteers who work diligently maintaining these sites and to the lookup volunteers who tirelessly answered many of my questions and queries. Thank you!
The Robinson tree started with the names of my great grandparents William John Robinson (b.1875) and Lena Mae (Lintott, b.1881). I ordered their marriage certificate from Manitoba Vital Statistics and was able to find their parents' names, thus taking the family tree back to my great great grandparents, John Robinson (b. 1848) and Flora (Bell, b. 1837).
In August of 2007, we were able to reunite with the Robinsons of Manitoba. Current family pictures were collected to go into the family history book which will be published (family members only) very soon. We hope to have a larger reunion to include Robinson families from Ontario, Alberta and B.C.
