James MCINTOSH (son of Edward Mackintosh and Matilda)⁶⁵ was born 13 June 1815 in Wigan, Lancashirer, England⁶⁵, and died date unknown in Michigan⁶⁵. He married Cecelia MATHER on 10 June 1843 in Catheral , Manchester, Lancashire, England.

James came to the US in the early 1840's. He was married at the time to
Cecilia Mather. She remained behind until he could save enough money to
send for her He worked in a factory in the east but never saved
enough money for Cecilia to come to the U.S. She finally saved the money
herself and came to America in 1848. They moved to Michigan because the
weather was supposed to be better for James' tuberculosis. After he died
she remarried another man named McIntosh, he also died.
