Mrs. Susan C. Perry, 74, resident of Sumner County for nearly forty years, died Saturday evening at 8:00 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R.C. Gallemore, 1003 North Washington Ave. She had been ill one week. Born in Macon County, Illinois, on July 21, 1856, Mrs. Perry moved to Kansas while still a young woman, settling in the eastern part of the state. Thirty years ago , she, with her family moved to Milan, where they resided for many years. For the past few years she has made her home with her daughter here and with a son, Frank Perry, address not learned. Fred was a member of the Milan Christian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Gallemore, Mrs Jessie Begley, Caldwell, and Mrs Maude Burke, Danville. Four sons, Bruce Perry, address unknown, Fred Perry, Kansas City, KS, Lambert Perry, Kansas City Mo. and Frank Perry, Milan KS., two sisters, Mrs Laura Wells and Mrs Hattie Wilson, both of Lamar, MO. one brother W.R. Cole of Mulvane and nine grandchildren
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2;30 at the Christian Church at Milan with Rev. R.R. Yeilderman, pastor of the local church officiating. The funeral cortege will leave the Frank Funeral Home at 1:30.
Burial will be made in the Milan Cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death March 8, 1897
