email from Al Tessitore:

I used to live in Providence in the John Burke House. My grandfather bought the house after WWII and had it moved across the street from it's original location. It now stands at 11 Higgins Ave, Providence, RI. My grandfather registered the house with the Rhode Island Historical Socity (there is a plaque on the front of the house). The historical society may be able to help you. John Burke must have been a wealthy individual. Nathanael Greene Middle School now occupies the original land on which the house sat. The is very large and ornate. I'm not sure who lives there now or what the house is being use for (our family sold it several years ago.), but it was a wonderful place ot grow up.
