I am researching the history of the Bias Family in Southwest Louisiana. I have traced my ancestors back to John Bias in the circa 1848. John was described in most records as a mulatto and his siblings were Henderson, Nebraska, Solomon and other relatives in an around the parish of St.Landry prior to 1890. After that Acadia Parish was founded and that area became part of Acadia Parish. Most were in and around the town of Branch, Prarie Hayes and etc.

Anyone desiring more information please contact me at the above address.
