John Munro

John Munro (son of Alexander Munro and Janet McLean)was born in Of, Kiltearn, died in . He married (1) Christian Urquhart. He married (2) Marjorie Simpson.

Notes for John Munro:
John Munro of Kiltearn and his five brothers were known as "Sliochd Alasdair mhic Huistain."

Although John was the fourth son, for some family reason, he succeeded his father and inherited the Kiltearn estate.

He was portioner of Kiltearn having the south or nether half while his brother, Farquhar had the north or upper half.

Robert Munro, fifteenth Baron of Foulis, "disposed in feu and for service the lands of Kiltearn" to John.

John died near the end of the 16th century.
