Ref. (3) states that an issue of the William and Mary Quarterly erroneously placed Charles Tyler (b. 1717, d. 1768) as a son of Judge Charles Tyler when in fact, the younger Charles was the son of of Judge Charles Tyler's brother, Benjamin. This error has been perpetuated by being published in numerous references, but since the younger Charles Tyler is not a Munro/Monroe descendant, he and his line are not included in this data base.
