She helped raise twin nieces, Sue Carol and Betty Darrel after their father Raymond was killed riding a steer in Texas. She had two sons, Jerry and Ronald, and an adopted daughter, Paula Kay. Pauline was very proud of her family and she had many friends throughout her life as she and Don and the children moved to various residences. One of her long time friends was Jane Lindsay. Other friends include Theta Richardson, Vie Rainey, Cecil Hinton, Floy Shawn, Mrs. Pfiefer, Mrs. Franklin, and many others.
