I am researching the Lawrence Dameron (1615-1660) line from England to Northumberland Co., VA down through Lazarus Damron (1766-1829) and Jane Jarrell of Wayne Co., WV. Jane Jarrell had 6 children: REV. JOHN Jarrell (1806-1884 - m. Elizabeth Bromley), Sarah, Vashti, Rachael, Benjamin and Samuel Jarrell. Continuing down through John Jr (1836-1912, m. Nancy Lambert) > Boyd Jarrell (1875-1931, m. Ella Taylor, daughter of Alfred B. Taylor 1857-1940). The maternal line includes the: Thomas/William Bromley, Philip/Job/Elijah Lambert, James Parot Wilson, William/Moses Taylor lines.
In addition, I am researching the Hissem / Hisam family originally from Germany (??). Believe Thomas Hisam first appears in the Pennsylvania 1790 census, residing in the Philadelphia region; however I do not know of his or family’s earlier existence. He reportedly had two marriages, Isabel, and Rachel, with a total of 17 children. Thomas Jr. (1818-1885 - my ancestor - who married Wilomina McCann) migrated into Ritchie Co., WV, to settle and further his descendants.
This family web site is just the beginning of a long journey into our family’s past, having only gathered many “notes” to begin the foundation. I am pleased to say my cousin, Calley Jarrell Savage, will be jointly sharing the opportunity of presenting this information in a more cohesive form as time goes on. Any further information would be appreciated and I am certainly willing to share any information I may have available.
A work in progress …………………
