This research journey all began with a very basic ancestral interest about by parents (H. Donovan – A. Lunzmann) who were born in Hecla, SD then moved to the Renton, WA area.
I was lucky to find that I had Donovan ancestors who already put together a package of written family history with documents & photos as well as their personal knowledge. As I continue my modern research projects, the deep appreciation I have for their thoughtful family information legacy, hand typed without the convenience of modern tools only continues to increase exponentially.
Then in later years, in all fairness to the two boys who start my own descendant line, I felt obligated to investigate their father’s roots as well (D. Hislop – V. Baldwin, Seattle, WA). My goal is a family history that has as much pedigree information of their parents as possible. In addition I want to preserve personal family photos and documents for furture generations.
As of 11/2006 this combined family research journey has resulted in a FTM data base of 1784 people, 551 marriages and 17,429 text records.
