I have tried researching our diverse family for a few years now and recently I had decided to work even harder to tarce our family as far back as I can. What started out as a way to keep up to date on the branches of our family tree starting with our matriarch - Sylvia Jeanette Lokken Roiland Hjelm - has become an opportunity to learn more about not only her descendants but to learn about her ancestors as well as Tillman Roiland's and C. Norman Hjelm's. We have our annual family reunions every summer and I look forward to seeing more members of our family at next year's reunion (2008) which falls on what would have been Sylvia's 100th birthday.
