The Hlywa and Kalasinsky family research is relatively new. Although the Hlywa research is more extensive, going back to great,grandparents, the Kalasinsky research is quite small. The families originated in Russia, Austria, and Lithuania. The Kalasinsky family coming through Ellis Island around 1910. Little is know about the extent of the families, other than Vincent and Veronica settled in Ansonia, Connecticut. As for the Hlywa family, what is known is that Paisa and Wasil settled also in Ansonia, Connecticut, however, whether their parents arrived with them or if any relatives came over, little is recorded. These families handed down a rich and cultural heritage, with those of their posterity seeking to know more about who they were and where they came from.
