My GGG grandfather, William Hogg JR. came from Scotland to Canada. In Canada he married Margaret Minto Thomson. My ggg was born in Scotland around 1825, Margaret Minto Thompson was born on or around 1835, also in Scotland. On a US census form, they both list her place of birth as "Gaelic L". They came to the US and settled for a time in Johnson County, Iowa where they have, among a number of other children, a son named Thomas Hogg. Thomas Hogg is my GG grandfather. On December 24th 1893 in Grover Kansas, he married Mary Emma McClanahan, daughter of John Green McClanahan and Mary Ann Zinn McClanahah. Thomas and Mary Emma move to Lecompton, Kansas and have a few children including my g grandfather Harley Andrew Hogg. Harley Andrew Hogg marries a woman in Topeka Kansas named Grace Lois Goff. They have many, many children (there must not have been much to do in Topeka Kansas back then - LOL) Among their children is a son named Harold Lee Hogg, AKA my grandpa.
Harold Lee Hogg, my grandfather, marries a lady named Geraldine Lavern Martin in Topeka Kansas. She is the daughter of William Roscoe Martin and Edith Spears. They have four kids together. Among them is a son, they named Gregory Lee Hogg, AKA my dad. Geraldine Martin died in the late 1990's in Bremerton Washington. Harold Lee Hogg died in Oct 2005 in Lake Port California.
