I have been researching my family line for about six years now and am enjoying it more and more each year. I have four direct lines that I am trying to work on but have decided this year, "2001" to stick with the "Hurst" line which is on my mothers side. My sister and I visited Canada this summer and found lots of wonderful help from the people we met which included a couple of distant cousins. I would love to go back as there is so much to find in that area. We actually went back a full generation.
The small town I live in has been very helpful to me also and I find that when I visit the local library I find new items all the time. We live close to a very large library that is nationally known and I look forward to visiting there to find even more information.
The four lines that I am working on are: Tindall, Hurst, Summersett, and Good. The first two are from my mothers side of the family and the last two are from my fathers side. I have found that Tindall can be spelled many different ways. Tindall, Tindal, Tyndall, Tyndale. We have found it most often Tindall. The Summersett name is sometimes spelled incorectly also but this is the spelling I look for.
My goal is to someday travel and find out information from the locations that my ancestors lived in many years ago.
