I used the CHAPPLE and MOORE surnames in my title because those are my focus at the moment.
Charles CHAPPLE was born 7 Jan 1872 in Cornwall, England and died 8 June 1907. His parents are Robert CHAPPELL and Tamar Williams HOSKEN(S). Some siblings are Robert (died in childhood), John, Robert Thomas and Eliza. I believe he had at least one additional sibling, Tamar, who married 1st James BROWN (he died in the Virginia Mines explosion in 1905, and 2) John BENSON. Tamar was born in 1880 and died in 1917.
Charles married Anna Bell MOORE (b. 1874, d. 1936), daughter of Thomas MOORE and Anna DILLARD, in 1892 in Jefferson County, AL. Thomas Louis MOORE was born in 1851 in LA, resided in Lincoln & Franklin counties in TN, before coming to Birmingham AL. He worked for the L & N Railroad for over 40 years, dying after retiring on pension in 1923. Thomas' parents were J T (James Thomas) MOORE and Amna (Amniah) BELL. They married in Lincoln County, TN in 1844.
Charles CHAPPLE, Anna Bell MOORE CHAPPLE LEE, Tamar BENSON, James BROWN, & John BENSON are buried at the Fraternal Cemetery in Pratt City, AL.
Thomas Louis MOORE, his wives, his father and several others are buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.
Charles CHAPPLE & Anna Bell MOORE had the following children: 1. Anna Tamar CHAPPLE married W J LEWIS 2. Robert Thomas CHAPPLE married Lavada MASON 3. Alma Berthal CHAPPLE married William A KEMP 4. Charles Lewis CHAPPLE married Mary Frances PERRY 5. Olean Mae CHAPPLE married William BURRELL
I have much more information on this family but still trying to add more information to make my theory into "fact" or, if disproven, begin a new theory. Interested in information on Charles CHAPPLE/CHAPPEL(L)'s parents and siblings. He was a member of Woodmen of the World (WOW), Improved Order of Red Men (IORM) and probably "Odd Fellows" (IOOF). Thomas L MOORE was also a member of IORM and IOOF.
Also researching GREEN, ROBINSON, JONES, & CAMPBELL of Bibb/Chilton, AL. One branch of my JONES' also migrated to Greene county AR ca 1857.
