Having just started researching my family , it is difficult to put into words what I am looking for. My immediate family was thought to be pretty small until I started to look into the history of my surname. We do not have any reunions on my fathers side of the family, so it is hard to collect any information on my relatives. My fathers name was Noah Bert Hokett and his father was Jasper Bert Hokett and his fathers name was J.H. Hokett. I don't know what J.H. stands for. J.H. Hoketts wife was Mary Jane Hokett and I believe she was born Feb 10 1846. She was married to J.H. Feb 15 1861.J.H. Hokett was born Aug 10 1834 and passed on Sept. 8 1910. I am not sure as to the date of his birth but I think it was the date listed above. Jasper Bert Hokett had at least 4 brothers Joe, Dock, Dink, and Med , he also had 2 sisters Minnie and the other is unknown.
I don't know where to go from here but maybe there is someone out there who has some useful information.
