I was born Jan. 6, 1949 in Johnson City, New York. At the time our family live on Hyde Street, Whitney Point, NY on a dairy farm. I have 3 older brothers, two younger brothers, and a sister, and she is the youngest.
My mother was Helen Wilder Hoke, born (July 28, 1916)in Greene, New York, the daughter (only child) of Mabel and S.Ray Wilder.
My father was Clifford Arther (Snay) Hoke, born (Oct 30, 1910)in Downsvill, New York, the son of Arthur & ? Snay. He was adopted by the William and Emma Hoke family.
Mom and Dad met where they worked -Tarbel Farms and married Dec. 7, 1940.
We lived on a dairy farm on Hyde Street, Whitney Point, New York until the fall of 1958 when we moved to another dairy farm outside Clockville, New York. We moved from southern NY to Central New York.
My mothers side of the family-the Wilders dates back to the Wilder brothers that came to America on the Mayflower.
My fathers side of the family - Hoke and originally Snay we know little about and are researching.
Any information of either side of the family will be greatly appreciated.
