It is not proven that Ann is a daughter of John and Ann Hort. I believe she is the Matilda Hort who was witness to the marriage of my Samuel Hort and CarolineCarey in 1851. On the 1841 Census Matilda's place of residence was recorded as living at Bath Lodge and she was aged 15years. Her date of birth fits in with the births of the other children of John andJjane.
