I have traced my branch of the Holman family back seven generations to Daniel Holman, born 1660-1670 in England. He had two sons (possibly twins) born in 1700 named Daniel and Jacob. This second Daniel fathered Isaac Holman (b 1725) who had a son named Reuben (b 1759). Reuben's son, Isaac W. Holman (b 1783), then had a son named Hardy (Jr. ?) who married Nancy Wilson and together with her brought Isaac Woodford Holman into this world. He was my great-grandfather, father to Walter Allen Holman b(1892), and grandfather to my dad, Mervin Wayne Holman (1926).
I have no documentation of this line beyond my great-grandfather, Isaac Woodford Holman. I am relying strictly on data from the family trees, web sites, and emails of others like me who use the Internet in an attempt to establish their roots. I would like to be able to pass this information along to my son, Matthew, and daughter, Katie, someday in as complete a form as possible. To this end I welcome any information that may extend or confirm the entries in my family tree. I would share my information as well with anyone who may be interested. I currently have 1078 entries in my tree (approximately half of which are Holmans) which includes my mother's side of the family, the Mohrs, which also goes back seven generations.
