Strong marking, muscular forward from St. Ignatius whose play varied from the brilliant to the mediocre. He was a fine distance kick, but his accuracy was not always reliable. Played for Victoria in 1960 and was centre half forward in Richmond's 1967 premiership team. He was a favourite of Richmond fans and was later chairman of selectors.
