Notes for Donna Marie Hoover: About me, I'm trying to decide what I would want future descendants of mine to read. I loved high school, did not care for the unstructured life at college. I attended Ball State University and met my husband there in my 3rd year. I had a fairy tale childhood, wanted babies when I grew up, thusly married in 1970 to the wrong person for the wrong reasons. He was a player, I was a martyr, prognosis,,,,,doom. I had my children, was lucky enough to be a stay at home mom, until they were school age. Divorced at the age of 34, February, 1984. In August of that year, I met the man I would spend the next 12 years with. We became engaged in 1993, built a retirement home in southern Indiana on 15 wooded acres of paradise. He put the property up for sale in 1997 which broke my heart, wounded my soul, and deprived me of my future. I left him. The year now is 2007, I have been with the right man for all the right reasons, since 1998. I thrive in the sunshine, I love fast cars, street rods, and the outdoors. My home is truely my sanctuary. I have so many interests, I am never bored. My man and I enjoy camping, car shows on the weekends and I love my Nascar on Sundays. Jeff Gordon is my driver, I collect Nascar memorabilia. I go to as many races as I can afford. I have a passion for genealogy. I collect dolls and fine crystal. I love lace and satin, I'm a girly girl. I raised my children as a single parent, and learned the difference between needing and wanting very quickly. I play the piano privately, I embroider for relaxation, I'm fascinated with the computer. I love to dance alone or with someone. I love to give presents and I love to receive them. I am a Leo. I strongly believe in family, but was totally disillusioned by marriage. I will never marry again. I see no reason to fix something that isn't broke. I went to work in 1978 as a lunch lady with Anderson Community Schools. I became a Manager in 1988 and in 2006 I was promoted to Food Service Coordinator. I love to decorate, I wallpaper as a side line, I sell roses at the side of the road for the fun of being outdoors and the extra cash. I own my home . I enjoy the companionship of my friends, but I equally like being alone. I can always find something to amuse myself. I write poetry and have had 1 published. There's never enough hours in the day.
My motto: There are but 2 bequeaths that we can leave our children: the first is ROOTS, the second is WINGS.
