Orville E. Hoover, 77, 2104 Locust Street., died at 1:07pm, March 25, 1967, Saturday at Community Hospital after an illness of several years. Born in Grant County, March 17, 1890, the son of Eli Perkins and Linnie Collins Hoover, he operated a barber shop in the Meadowbrook area for the past 33 years. He moved to Anderson from Grant County and had resided in the area for 35 years. He married the former Leota T. Cable in Michigan in 1913. He was a member of the SOuth Meridian Church of God. Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs Esther L. Davisson of Shirley, Mrs. Ethyl C. Kauffman of Wilkinson and Mrs. Edith L. Hedges of Anderson; four sons, Kenneth G. of Clearwater, Fl., Wilbur E and Robert F. both of Anderson and Clarence e. of Cedar Glen, CA; one sister, Mrs. Stella Shane of Wabash; one brother Arthur Hoover of Swazee; several nieces and nephews; 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral rites will be conducted at 1:30 pm Tuesday at the Harold E> Rozelle Funeral Home with the Rev Warren Roark, pastor of Park Place Curch of God officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
