Jacob Hoover (son of David Hoover and Pollie)^{2045, 2046, 2047, 2048, 2049, 2050, 2051, 2052, 2053} was born 16 Jul 1819 in Randolph Co., North Carolina^{2054, 2055}, and died 16 Jul 1894 in Grant, Co., Indiana^{2056, 2056}. He married Eliza Jane Robbins on 28 Mar 1848 in Randolph Co., North Carolina^{2056, 2056, 2057}, daughter of Isaac Robbins and Rebecca Robbins.

LYDIA J - wife - age 49
Eli P - son-age 26
Rebecca - mother - age 70 (Correct age of Rebecca Robbins, Eliza's mother)
William B.- son - age 14

This is a most confusing report. To my knowledge, Jacob remained married to Eliza Jane Robbins until his death. Perhaps an error in name of wife ? Eliza's mother's name was Rebecca, but to my knowledge, Jacob's mother's name was Pollie. The son William does not fit into any other research that I have. Another of those mysteries to unravel.
Next door to this family in the census report is Jacob's daughter Triphena, married to George Allred with daughter Dora which also fits. So it appears that this must be the right Jacob.

1850 Census:
Jacob Hoover-age 24 (Incorrect age, DOB 1826)
Eliza -wife-age 20
Leuphemia, age 4/12 (Triphena ?)
Lineberry, age 70 (Who is this) DOB. 1780, I was reading this age as 10, but after looking closely it is 70. Could this possibly be Jacob's father, and this entire lineage is incorrect? Or is Lineberry the middle name of David, Jacob's father?

Again confusing, however the next family in the census was the Robbins family, Issac and Rebecca, parents of Eliza , Jacob's wife. Joshua and Jonathon Robbins the previous 2 families.
