Notes for George Stanley Todtenbier: It was 1993 when I became interested in genealogy through my daughters encouragement. We both were fascinated with the O'heron line, but virtually had no leads. I was searching through an old bible and found the maiden name of my great, great, grandmother> Toodenbear.To shorten this story, I soon discovered the correct spelling, and our search began. Looking through the classifieds of my local paper, I quite by accident ran across the name of Ed Todtenbier, with a Louisiana #, for anyone interested in buying a Big Boy Restaurant. Now, Todtenbier is not the most common name on the planet, but on a whim, I looked in my local Anderson phone book, and unbelievable as it was to me,, there was a listing. I called the number and I was speaking to the x wife of the same Ed Todtenbier that was advertising the sale of that local restaurant. From Marge Todtenbeir this is what I learned>>>>>>>.
Ed Todtenbeir was born in 1929. He was raised by his grandparents after his father GEROGE STANLEY, divorced his mother in 1930-31. His birth name was also George Stanley, but in his adult life , he chose to go by the name of Eddy Reynolds Todtenbier. He had nothing to do with his father. The last time that he saw his father was at the funeral of his grandmother, somewhere about 1943. Marge recalled the name of Hubbard, I have no tie in to that name, as of yet. Being that his birth name was George Stanley, I'm taking a shot in the dark and tying him to this George Stanley Todtenbier, the son of Joseph. This George was born in 1902 according to a contributing family ged com, but looking at the Kentucky Death Index, George Stanley died November 26, 1978, at the age of 68, putting his birth date in 1910. Speculating a bit farther, Marge relayed that Ed saw his father G S, at the funeral of his grandmother. somewhere about 1943. Dorothy A Todtenbeir, according to the Kentucky Death Index, died January 20, 1944 at the age of 68, putting a birth date of 1876. Census records indicate that Joseph T was married to" Dora", in 1897. Josep[h passed away on May 20, 1946 at the age of 71, supporting the birth date of 1875. A logical speculation would be:
