David was taken to the Knightstown Soldiers and Sailors home just prior to going overseas in WWII. David was living with his Grandparents Orville and Leota Hoover up until that point. They could no longer care for him. It is believed that David was adopted shortly after and moved to Florida. Kenneth did see David before he died. I have no information on his adoptive parents.
