Working on researching family genealogy for the Hoover, Buschman, Alexander, Stanford, Shoemaker, Perkins, Gibson, Daly and extended families. We live in North Carolina, but our roots lie in every part of Great Britian, Ireland, France, Holland, Germany and other places yet to be discovered. Many of our ancestors were early arrivals to America, some arrived only in the last century and a half. Some relations, both early and lately, have left for the other side of the world and settled in New Zealand! Many were pioneers, and traveled across seas and plains to reach their homes. Others were born and raised in the same house as their parents. A few distant cousins were even mildly famous in various fields, from politics to sports. All worked for a living, as farmers, laborers, educators, mothers, politicians, soldiers, businessmen and concerned citizens. Just your average American family entering the 21st Century, with over 2 dozen children in a new generation, looking to the future while learning about the past.
