Mathis Demonbreun, my grandfather was the son of Jackson Demonbreun, grandson to Alfred Wilson Demonbreun who was a son of John Baptiste Demonbreun. Mathis married Julie Cagle on
5th of Jan.1907 in Cheatham Co.Tennessee. They had Six children
Alfred 1907, Bradford 1909,Ellie Roy 1911, Woodrow Wilson 1913,
Ervin (my dad)1915, Clifton 1919. Mathis died in 1921 and Julie in 1924 leaving Ervin and Clifton to be sent to St. Mary's Orphanage.
Bradford became of age and married Goldie Lee Demonbreun, daughter of General Washington and Lullar Ingram Demonbreun,
together they took Ervin and Clifton out of orphanage and raised them. Clifton died at age 20 the year I was born,1938. Ervin married
Mary T Hood and raised us 8 children. My oldest brothers are twins,
and the youngest are twins, me being the only girl. Two of the boys died at young age, under age 2. Have hit a wall in searching for what happened to Jackson last found in 1900 census in Cheatham Co.Tennessee
