The Pillar - Drozd Family of Pittsburgh, PA

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

I am interested in chronicling the ancestors who came from Europe just before WWI. Our family stays connected on line, so this will be an easy way to share info, join forces, and get our family tree developed.

The two special resources that we have to draw on are oral histories of Irma Pillar and Bernard Noroski. I hope that younger family members will continue the effort to add to this collection with some of the other family oldsters!

Seems that most family trees are more developed on the maternal sides, and ours is no exception. We know about the Pillars from what my grandmother could remember, but we have more "branches" to complete on her side, the Drozds, and her mother's family.
