Carrie Jannette Rinehimer married James Arthur Stout and that began the family tree. Carrie and James from the Slocum/Dorrance area of Mountaintop. The family reared their family on the Homestead that was located at Church Road and South Moutain Blvd. The home and old pump are gone, there is a Mini-Mart on it's site now. But from that union a son Lester James Stout went onward to his own family.
Lesters' bride was Alice Elenor Krapf from Tamqua. Her parent John and Amanda lived in Tamaqua doors away from John's parents John H. Kraph and Louisa. The elder Johns Father emmigrated from Hesse Germany with his bride Elizabeth from Bavaria.
Amanda, was reared in the Eckley area of Freeland 16 miles to the north. Her parents Peter Keller and Getterut (Gertrude) Brandau born in Eckley, PA, the major mining town that still stands. Peter's Mother Margaretta, headed the household of a miners family. Gertrude lived her life in Drifton PA.
In years to come Alice and Lester Stout bore ten children, the oldest Beverly was my mother. Lesters family roots were settled in Dorrance for years. his mother Carrie Jannett Rinehimer daughter of Sarah Miller and Henry Rinehimer has Rinehimer roots to the 1750's birth of Christopher Kocher, son of Conrad Rinehimer.
The Stout family still eludes me although I am search in the census records and local birth certificates.
So that is where my story not only ends but begins:See Family tree Dianne Marie(Dempkosky)Hopersberger
