Arthur Chapin started Chapin & Saks Ice Cream. He died prior to 1923. He was married to Rebecca Frances. They had two children, Raymond and Frances. Raymond married Mary and they had a daughter, Mildred Chapin. She later married Herbert Smith. Mildred and Herbert had two children, Barry and David. David married Peggy. They had two children, David and Stacey.Frances married Curtis Taylor Martin of Charlottsville, VA. Frances and Curtis had three children. Arthur Chapin, Robert Curtis, and Lawrence Chapin Martin. Arthur died at the age of three. Robert married Mary Virginia Smith in 1950. Lawrence married Milbrey Estes. Robert & Mary had three children, Lynn, Arthur, & Karen. Lawrence and Milbrey had four children, Leann, Bobby, Linda, & Lizbeth.
