My Hopkins ancestors are from Melvin, Virgie, Wheelwright and Pikeville, Kentucky area. The reunion is usually held the second Sunday in August. I am just now starting to trace my family tree. My father's name is Aster Hopkins. My grandfather was John Hopkins and Dacy Little Hopkins. My dad had four sisters Grethel ?, Bessie ?, Dixie Hall and Audrey Newsome; four brothers, Marion, Delmar, Ollie and Henry. He is the only survivor. He moved from the Pike County, Ky. when he was young to Ashland, Kentucky. He retired from Blevins Sheet Metal & Roofing. He now resides at Argillite, Kentucky. He was born December 24, 1928 at Melvin, Ky.
