I was born August 26, 1952 at King's Daughter's Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky. My parents are Aster and Anna Nichols Hopkins of Argillite, Ky. I have two brothers, Larry Aster and Roger Dean Hopkins, both of Greenup County, Ky.
I reside in Louisa, Kentucky. I have two children, Kristie Ann Burchett Fissler and James Douglas Burchett and an 18 month old grandson Austin Caleb Fissler. I was married to Jim Burchett in December of 1973 and we divorced in December of 1986.
My father was born at Melvin, Kentucky on December 24, 1928. He is the son of the late John and Dacy Little Hopkins. He had four sisters, Bessie, Grethel, Dixie and Audrey and four brothers Marion, Delmar, Ollie and Henry, all deceased.
My mother was born at Greenup, Kentucky on December 16, 1929. She is the daughter of the late John Thomas Nichols and Rosa Belle Carter Nichols Whitt. She has one brother Albert Thomas Nichols of Ashland, Kentucky and five sisters, Frances Jacobs, Ashland, Ky.; Faye Kilburn, Wurtland, Ky.; Alta and Nancy Cox, Greenfield, Oh.; and Juanita Lord, Dayton, Oh., and one deceased sister, Virginia Ruth Nichols who passed away June 9, 2000 at her home in Dayton, Oh.
