I am working to find my ancestors. My grandfather on my father's side, James (Jim) Perry Horn, was raised in Hackett, AR from 1870 till 1880 and was born in 1867 in Evening Shade, Piney Forks Twsp., Sharp Co, AR. He lived in Walls, LeFlore Co, OK near Bokoshe and Panama probably from 1880 till 1918, when he died in the flu epidemic.

My grandmother, on my father's side, was Fannie Smith. She married Thomas Leuther Derryberry and they had three children. When he died, she married my grandfather, Jim Horn. Her three children: Albert, Oscar, and LuAlma (Polly) lived with them.

They had twin boys, Elmer (Slim) and Ellis (Dutch). Ellis was my father. He worked in the coal mines around McCurtain, OK most of his life.

My grandmother, on my mother's side, was a Barnhill and her mother was Mary Wilson. Her fathere was Samuel Westley Barnhill. I still have a lot to discover about her side of the family also.
