My name is Michael Gene Horton, I am married to Delores Gettys "Lori" Horton, We have 2 children Michael Jr "Buddy" and Ashley R. We reside in Sumter, SC and I have lived here since 1976. My wife aqnd I are RN's and our children are in school, Buddy is in his 3rd year at USC in Columbia, SC and Ashley is a 9th grader at Sumter High School.

I have been interested in the Horton Line for some time and have been searching the line on and off for a while. My family line is: Me (b.1951 Beckley WV), Millard Eugene Horton (b. 1924 Lester, WV), Millard Oscar Horton(b.1894 Snake Creek, Carroll Co, VA), Jacob Monroe Horton (b. 1872 Carroll Co, VA); Jacob Horton (b 1841 Carroll Co. VA); Benjamin "Ben" Horton (abt 1804 in VA); Joseph Horton (abt. 1782 Stokes Co, NC); John Horton (abt 1748 Bucks Co. PA); Abraham Horton (abt 1722).

I have several other lines that I have been researching, and will continue with them all over time, and as time allows. A vast majority of the information I have at this time comes from a book By "Benjamin M Horton, Sr." Ancestors and Descendants of Joseph Horton of Carroll County Virginia.

I would enjoy sharing with others about these or other lines and please help me to verify and make any corrections.
