I have been researching our family history for 2 years now. I want to thank everyone for their help in getting this much information. The family tree I have put on this webpage is only direct ancestors and I only went back to the early 1700's on most lines. I will include more as I get some free time.

  The ship was the "Cotton Planter". Arrival in Port of New York on 16 August 1845. Arriving from Hilbringen, Prussia, Germany. Notice FRANZ, age 5- he was Lena Garrett Oberhausens father. His brothers were: Nicholas, Joannes (John) and John Philipp.

• Will of Increase Rudd (7 May 1800) (282 KB)
  Increase Rudd served as Sergeant in the Revolutionary War under Captain Merrimen & Wood. He was born 21 September 1734 and died in late 1802. His will was probated Jan 1803. Notice his signature at the bottom and the mention of his son Silas in the will. We are descendents of his son Silas. Silas also served in the Revolutionary War in Captain Collins Company, 1780.
