About Our Family Research

On the four sides of my grandparents: Buch, Bobb, Loos, Krauss, I have found lots of information, including where my great grandfather, Charles Buch and his wife, Amelia, are buried. Before I started my search in the summer of 1999, I did not even know their names. I also discovered that my grandfather had four siblings. My Bobb side was well-documented, but I am now in touch with cousins all over the world, including a 6th cousin whose mother lives outside the small village in Alsace, where my ancestor emigrated from in the 1730s. My Loos side put me in touch with four second cousins, who had also been searching for information. From our shared work, we know the village where my grandmother's father was born, where she was born, and I have pictures of the church where all this family was baptised, going back hundreds of years.
