HOUSES OF WAKE CO N.C.

Updated January 5, 2005

About Our Family Research

The earlist HOUSE in WAKE Co. N.C. that I can find that is my family tree is: Thomas House & Suckey Carroll. They were married on in Dec. 1771 in Wake Co. N.C. In the census of 1790, my ggg grandfather showed up with his brothers. My family orginated from William {Wilie} In the 1800's Wily's son Ridley moved to Johnston Co. N.C. He was married to his second wife which was Minerva Maynor. They were married in Wake Co. In the 1850 census Ridley is 30 and Minerva is 22. In the 1860 this is when they moved to Johnston Co. MINERVA disapears before the 1870 census. Within the last 10 years 1860-1870 my gg grandfather Andrew Jackson was born. We were told through the years that Minerva Maynor was a Lumbee Indian. She is buried within a mile from my home. She has a simple home made tombstone that reads "Nervy House Mother of A.J. House. Ridley and Minerva had at least six children. My G-granfather was the last. Andrew Jackson. One of his children was my Granfather Vernon. My dad was Eddie Cepherson {where they got that name I have no idea!} My father married Gladys Raper. I am an Idenical Twin . My name is Bonnie House and my Twin's name is Connie House Harmon. We would love to find out where Thomas House was before Wake CO. N.C.,when he arrived and where his father was from.. But the main Heart-Search is Minerva Maynor. Her gravestone shows no mention of birth or death dates, no husband's name, and just one lone child's name A.J. And a little-bitty headstone.
