I started genealogy research when I was in high school. Luckily, I had quite a few elderly relatives still living and had always been interested in my family history anyway.

I spent hour after hour in our local library going through old census records and anything else I could find, and spent many enjoyable times interviewing anyone who knew about my family.

As I have gotten older, many real life things have caused me to have to put off my research but now with the internet, hopefully I can continue the search that everyone is so interested in... Where did I come from?
