Our family has grown from the East Coast of Virginia, migrating all of the way to California, and Texas. We arrived here in 1729,
we are direct descendants of Johann Casper Hounschield. I have not been able to find out anything about our descendants in Germany or Holland, we are a proud American family which has served our Country in all major wars, we have grown and are prospering all across the country. We are strong in religion with our Christian faith as we serve our Lord. We were share croppers, coal minors, steel and Iron workers, police men, teachers, professors, news paper men, just about every major occupation that you can think of including soldiers. We had men fighting on both sides in the Civil War, we have a large group of family in Virginia,West Virginia,Kentucky,and Ohio. Although our family has had many hardships, as have all families in our country, we remain among those families who are the back bone of our country, our freedom, and our faith. We have married into many families, we have extended our original family into thousands of families. I am proud to say that I am a Hounshell man, and I am proud of my family's heritage in our country. God bless our family, our freedom, and our country. There is a God, one day I will meet him, I will have to answer to him for what I have done with my life.
