2010 Reunion info. Save August 13,14,15, 2010 and address of; AOH Hall, 210 Boston St. Salem "WHERE WE ALL BEGAIN" Come discover one of the most prosperous seaports in the colonies, Salem, MA where Thomas and Mary Howes first set foot.
The registration fee for the reunion will be $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children 13 to 18 years of age and children 12 and under are free. Meal prices are not determined as of 8/25/09
Friday night between 6-9 pm at the Ancient Order of Hibernians hall in Salem 210 Boston St.. Pizza, Cash bar, soft drinks. Early registration
8:00-10:30 Saturday AM check-in Howes-pitality with a continental breakfast at the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Meet and mingle with your cousins.

A boxed lunch will be provided for about $7.00 a person. You can eat it at the hall or take it with you as you board Salem Trolley.
Then off to explore Salem. Salem Trolley will pick up at AOH for $14 per person Under 12 - $7 You can tour The Salem Maritime Museum, the sloop "Friendship" at Derby Wharf. Trolleys to go to Peabody-Essex Museum, The Witch House and Museum, The Seven of Seven Gables, Essex Court House that found Thomas guilty of trespass.
Dinner Saturday night at 6:30 P.M. at the Ancient Order of Hibernians hall with a speaker and historic Howes skit. Sunday Brunch at 9:00 A.M. at the Ancient Order of Hiberians hall to say adios, pick up displays, and exchange addresses

Howes, Ipswich, Ma., from the battles of the Civil War - (nothing about war has changed) -Famous Howes Captains that sailed round the world, Belle of the West, Southern Cross and its Capt Benjamin Howes shot by Chinese Pirates in front of his wife & children - she had to take over the return trip - Book "Privateers, Pirates and Beyond: Memoirs of Lucy Lord Howes Hooper" -The many different Howes reunions held in Alberta and Ontario Canada, W.Virgina, Massachusetts, New York, we are adding new 'clans' as they find us. i.e California and Michigan -many 'cousins' have discovered each other and learned of missing links in their heritage. We are still searching for Thomas and Mary's English roots. It may not be "Morningthorpe" as always thought. The Howes Family Association, founded in 1987, sponsors this club and welcomes anyone who is interested in people connected with the surname Howes. Many, but not all, are descendants of this Thomas Howes who came to Plymouth Colony in 1637.
