Welcome to the Howick-Tisch Famiy Tree! My goal is to share everything I find out about the family roots.
I first started researching in August 2007 after discovering old photographs in a trunk at the Howick farm in Thief River Falls, MN. I started a massive scanning project to try and catalog/archive the hundreds of old family photos. As a little girl, my grandma and I used to look through all of the old photographs and she would tell me about our family history. After her death, I was one of the few people who knew who the people in the photographs were. Once I started compiling the pictures, I realized that names were not enough. I wanted to know exactly where my family came from so I started researching.
Although, I have not been researching very long, I have already made connections with a few distant cousins and have also gotten in touch with not-so-distant cousins.
