Am researching the ancestors/decendants of Horace Elmo Howell. He was born in Independence, Ms. on 4/11/1876 and died in Ms. on 9/5/1938. He was married to Evelyn Ester Dickson in Lootahoma, Ms. on 12/1/1897. Horace was the son of Absalom B. Howell and Martha Mullen. Absalom was born in Tallahatchia Co. Ms on 7/23/1856 and died on 2/22/1914. He was married to Martha on 12/27/1874 in Carrol Co. Ms. Absalom is thought to be the son of Samuel Howell who was born in Misissippi in 1824 and is thought to have had two brothers, William (1854) and Hiram (1855). I have quiet a large file on members of my family and would like to share information with persons connected with the family. Would especially like to hear from anyone who has information on the Howell family prior to Absalom.
